Pastor Todd McVey
Pastor Todd attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis and was ordained in 1984. Prior to coming to Good Shepherd by the Lake in 2008, he served as pastor and senior pastor at St. John’s Lutheran Church in St. Louis, King of Kings Lutheran Church in Omaha, and Calvary Lutheran Chapel on the campus of UW-Madison. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he spent time as an on-call chaplain at UW Hospital, instructor at Concordia University’s Madison campus, as Public Relations Director at Agrace Hospice Care, and as Campaign Director for United Way of Dane County.

Mary Sommers, Church Organist
Mary has been part of the music ministry at Good Shepherd by the Lake since its very beginning in 1976. She has blessed the congregation playing the hymns and liturgy for our worship services and by providing and organizing special music to enhance our worship experience. Mary is currently directing the choir as well as they sing songs of God’s amazing grace and mercy in Jesus. We are truly thankful for her many years of dedicated service to the Lord and our congregation.

Sue Ecker, Church Secretary
Sue retired from her position in CUNA’s IT department in 2015. She has always been an active member of Hope Lutheran Church in McFarland and thought she would enjoy serving as a part-time church secretary in her retirement. Sue began working for Good Shepherd by the Lake in 2015, and we are blessed to have her on staff with where she not only provides administrative services but blesses all who come into contact with her with her wonderful smile and positive, caring personality.

Carol Christopher, Church Custodian
We all like to worship in a place that is both clean and inviting. Carol makes that possible for us at Good Shepherd by the Lake in her role as our church custodian. Her love for the Lord and for her church is expressed in great care she provides for our church campus.
